There’s a brand-new dining experience coming to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and you’ll definitely want to check it out!
According to the Disney Parks Blog the GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill is the newest addition to the resort’s variety of dining establishments, adding a relaxing bar and grill with an incredible menu to the pool area.
Once open, White Water Snacks will be known as GCH Craftsman Grill and will continue serving its current menu. The new lounge area near the pool will be called GCH Craftsman Bar, which will feature a new menu highlighting a wide variety of flavors that will leave your mouth watering. From artisanal pizzas and avocado toast to sliders, nachos, and even shawarma, there’s something for everyone.
The Shawarma Chicken Skewer is a dish that I’m super excited about and it comes with arugula-fennel salad with radishes, roasted tomatoes, pita bread, lemon wedges, and tzatziki dip. Another option that features chicken is the Garlic-Soy-glazed Chicken Wings with fresno chile, togarashi spice, and furikake.
If you’re looking for some BEEF-ier options then you’ll want to try the Black Angus Flat Iron Steak Salad or the Double-baked Beef Nachos. The salad is made with endive and spinach leaves and is topped with sautéed shiitake mushrooms, crumbled eggs, feta snow, black angus steak, and a Champagne vinaigrette. The beef nachos make for great shareable bite with bacon lardons, black beans, scallions, jalapeño pepper, cilantro, queso fresco, guacamole, and crema. There’s also the Cali Sliders, featuring American wagyu patty, oven-roasted tomato, vegetable relish, spiced hollandaise, swiss, artichoke aïoli, and pickled vegetables.
On the seafaring side, the Maine Lobster Quesadilla with Monterey Jack and queso fresco is a great selection along with the Lemon-Sumac Salmon Salad or the Kimchee-marinated Ahi Tuna Lettuce Cup. Both come with a variety of vegetables and lettuce and are great dishes for those looking for a lighter option!
For a vegetarian option, you might want to try the popular Avocado Toast or the Black Truffle-charred Cauliflower Grilled Cheese Sandwich, which comes with charred cauliflower, cheese béchamel, black truffles, and pickled vegetables on sourdough bread.
The menu also features a selection of artisanal pizzas, including Margherita Pizza, Forest Mushroom Pizza, Classic Pepperoni Pizza, and a unique Charcuterie Pizza. The Charcuterie Pizza comes topped with premium pepperoni, prosciutto, salami, Italian sausage, arugula, fire-roasted tomatoes, grana padano, and aged provolone.
Kids can enjoy a great menu of smaller dishes which includes chicken skewers, salmon filet, parmesan-crusted grilled cheese, and favorites like chicken tenders, hamburgers, and a PBJ sandwich with chocolate-hazelnut spread.
And finally, satisfy your sweet tooth with one of three incredible desserts. Try the Root Beer Float or a Waffle-Churro Sundae with vanilla ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauces, chantilly cream, and chocolate pearls. You’ll also love the Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie Fingers served with strawberry marmalade and hazelnut dipping sauces!
GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill will open soon at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, so be sure to come on down and hang out with us! GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill will be open to all guests. The pool area will be available only to resort guests with a designated wrist band.

Halle Bailey has been cast as Ariel in Disney’s upcoming live-action reimagining of The Little Mermaid. The film is directed by Rob Marshall and produced by Marshall, John DeLuca, Marc Platt and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The film will feature beloved songs from the animated classic by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as new songs by Menken (music) and Miranda (lyrics).
“After an extensive search, it was abundantly clear that Halle possesses that rare combination of spirit, heart, youth, innocence, and substance — plus a glorious singing voice — all intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role,” says Marshall.
Production is anticipated to begin in early 2020. Additional announcements regarding The Little Mermaid are expected in the coming weeks.

This good boy loves Disney treats as much as any hooman I know! Dallas, a golden retriever, was visiting Disney Springs with his owner and got distracted by a confectioner working her magic on candy apples.
Dallas’ owner posted this video of his dog’s reaction on Facebook with the caption, “Would ya look at that!?” Dallas put his paws on the storefront to get a closer look at the sugary concoction being spun to perfection, tongue hanging out of his mouth. Check out the cute video below!

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: TRON Coaster in Magic Kingdom. The next iconic attraction for the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World has been springing up rather quickly.
We stopped by to see how the construction is going and it appears things are right on schedule for the 2021 opening of the TRON attraction for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
The new TRON Legacy inspired attraction will be located at Magic Kingdom Park in Tomorrowland. Nestled behind Tomorrowland Speedway and Space Mountain, this lively and thrilling coaster is sure to be a new icon in the ever evolving theme park.
A formal name for the attraction has yet to be announced, but the track is coming together nicely and we see a significant addition every other day as construction continues at the park.
Though the track is coming together quickly, there is still a ton of work left to be done on the attraction even after the track itself is completed.
Since the Tomorrowland TRON Attraction is going to be a carbon copy of the TRON Lightcycle Power Run in Shanghai Disneyland, we can expect to see a large, futuristic styled canopy being built soon after the track is finished. The canopy will cover most of the attraction and at night will glow with the iconic blue hue of “The Grid” as seen in TRON Legacy.
Construction can be seen at various points within Magic Kingdom Park and from the roadways that surround the theme park. Disney has also placed a fun billboard for the attraction just outside the construction zone near the closed Walt Disney World Railroad, which will open again once construction for the coaster has finished.
Anticipation amongst fans is high for the new attract that is modeled after the TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland. We can’t wait to hop on the lightcycles and enjoy this highly rated attraction once they power up ‘The Grid’ in 2021!

Celebrate the 4th of July in Disneyland with an Apple Pie A La Mode Sundae. One of the most iconic foods in America is our signature apple pie. The standard apple pie is filled to the brim with tender slices of apple in a special blend of cinnamon, sugar, and butter, and baked into a nice crispy crust. I can smell it cooling in the window sill now…
While still daydreaming about how delicious that would be to enjoy on Independence Day, we may have found the next best thing for you to try on Main Street, USA at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.
The sun is shining, the heat is kicking and it's time to celebrate our fine country! There's only one thing to do––stop by Gibson Girl for their Apple Pie A La Mode Sundae! pic.twitter.com/Wgoqq6yJ8V

Is anyone else’s mouth drooling, or is it just me? The Apple Pie A La Mode Sundae from Gibson Girl is the perfect way to beat the summer heat while visiting Disneyland for the 4th of July. Spider-man: Far From Home has swung into theaters, and there is a new MagicBand to commemorate the film! The new Spider-Man MagicBand is limited edition, and ready to ready to swing through the parks. It may not come with web-slinging capabilities, but it is definitely an epic looking band!
The new super hero inspired band comes in a collectors box for $34.99. The band is on white, with red and blue designs of Spidey icons, and passport stamps! The passport stamps are a nice touch for the theme of the movie too. This MagicBand also has a limited edition of just 2,500.
The box has a blue grey lid with Spider-man on the front, and the movie logo on the sides. The bottom part of the box has the same fun passport print on white like the band! When open the box holds the band in a red background with a design that makes it look like the band is being held by webbing! I really love how they add all the extra details to the boxes for limited edition bands.
You can find the web-slinging new Spider-Man MagicBand at select locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort where MagicBands are sold. This web-slinging band is currently a park exclusive, and not available online at shopDisney yet.
