Taika Waititi Is Returning to Direct ‘Thor 4’ and Marvel Fans are Freaking Out. Thor will be the first Avengers with a 4th film centered around his character. After the events of Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame what’s next for The God of Thunder?

Just ahead of San Diego Comic Con, Marvel Fans were delighted to learn that Thor: Ragnarok Director, Taika Waititi has signed on with Marvel Studios to direct the currently untitled Thor 4. The leaked announcement has fans freaking out and sharing their excitement and film ideas via social media.

Check out some of the hilarious reactions, predictions, and storyline suggestions from fans below:

Thor was reinvented as a character by Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi in the third Thor film, Thor: Ragnarok, and his transition from the “stoic hero type” to a more humor based character is more befitting to the role and better blends with the newer direction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans wholeheartedly agreed with the new take and are excited at the prospect of another Thor based film.

Currently in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) Thor is traveling with the Guardians of the Galaxy, or as he likes to call them, the Asguardians of the Galaxy, which means more than likely the next Thor film will take place after Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

What and who do you think we will see in a fourth Thor film? What characters would you like to see join the MCU and fight alongside Thor? Will Thor see Lady Sif again? Share your ideas for Thor 4 in the comments! We would love to hear your theories!
